Awards & Honors of Muhammad Ali Zahoori Qasuri (رحمہ اللہ)
Muhammad Ali Zahoori Qasuri (رحمہ اللہ) is remembered as one of the most beloved and respected figures in Naat-goi (Naat poetry) and Naat-khwani (Naat recitation). 1. First Position – All Pakistan Naat Competitions (1970 & 1972)
In both 1970 and 1972, Muhammad Ali Zahoori secured First Position in the highly competitive All Pakistan Naat Khwani Competitions organized by the Pakistan Naat Council Karachi.
These victories highlighted his exceptional vocal expression, pure devotion, and unique style of Naat recitation, marking him as one of the finest Naat khwans of his time.
2. Naat Award – Daily Jang Lahore
In recognition of his lifelong contributions to Naat poetry and Naat recitation, Daily Jang Lahore honored him with a special Naat Award.
This award was presented to him by the renowned humanitarian Abdul Sattar Edhi (رحمہ اللہ), making it one of the most memorable moments of his career.
3. Khawaja Ghareeb Nawaz Award
Muhammad Ali Zahoori was also honored with the prestigious Khawaja Ghareeb Nawaz Award, recognizing his spiritual devotion, humility, and his service to devotional literature.
4. Nishan-e-Hassan (RA) Award – Minhaj-ul-Quran
The international organization Minhaj-ul-Quran awarded him the Nishan-e-Hassan (RA) Award.
Named after Hazrat Hassan ibn Thabit (رضی اللہ عنہ), the first poet of Islam, this award is reserved for individuals who demonstrate excellence in Naat-goi and Naat-khwani.
5. Presidential Pride of Performance – Government of Pakistan (2000)
On 23 March 2000, the Government of Pakistan honored Muhammad Ali Zahoori Qasuri (رحمہ اللہ) with the nation’s highest civilian award in arts and culture — Presidential Pride of Performance (Tamgha-e-Husn-e-Karkardagi).
This award was presented posthumously for his extraordinary contributions to the field of Naat. The medal was received by his eldest son, Faizan Ahmad Zahoori, from the then President of Pakistan, Mr. Rafiq Ahmed Tarar.
